Playtech Launches Ultramodern Live Casino Studios in the US

Playtech Launches Ultramodern Live Casino Studios

Live casinos have been around since the mid-90s, but the technology wasn’t available to offer players a great experience. With the advances in technology and faster internet speeds, this has changed. Playtech, one of the giants in iGaming, is launching two new live casino facilities.

Live casino studios in Michigan and New Jersey

Playtech chose to launch in Michigan and New Jersey because live casino facilities have to be set up and accredited in jurisdictions that permit gambling. The new Playtech studios are being launched in collaboration with Parx Interactive and Bet365 in New Jersey.

Playtech has two decades of industry experience, and its software for online casinos has made it a household name. Parx Interactive is licensed by the Michigan Gaming Control Board and provides internet gaming services in partnership with Play Gun Lake Casino.

What are live casinos?

Online entertainment is becoming a thriving business opportunity, and live casinos take advantage of this trend. They may emulate the look of brick-and-mortar casinos, but they are different. Live casinos have human dealers and real tables to add to the experience. However, they stream online casino games to players all over the world. Players can take part in games, make use of live chat and place their wagers from the comfort of their homes.

The launch

With the US opening up again, it seems like an appropriate time to launch the new live casino facilities. They will provide a truly immersive experience for gamers. All the games and the setup have been tailored to suit a U.S. audience. The games on offer will include baccarat, blackjack and roulette. Soon people will be able to bet on sports and live game shows. There are other things in progress and one of it is enhancing live interactions during a game.

The future of online gambling

The pandemic and lockdown made many people try online gambling for the first time. Online gambling has become increasingly interactive with live dealers and the ability to chat to other players. Using a VR headset, being able to see a gaming floor in 3D, and take a look at other players may be closer than we think. There are already casinos using cryptocurrency and tabulating each play on the blockchain.

Playtech’s state-of-the-art studios in Michigan and New Jersey are only the start of the live offerings they plan on launching in the U.S.
